How to Apply

If you have been admitted to a UNM PhD program to start in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025, you are eligible to apply for the QPAQT program. Applicants will automatically be considered for fellowships and program perks.

To apply, send an email to qpaqt@unm.edu by Wednesday, November 26, 2025 with the following materials as PDF attachments:

1. Letter of interest (1 page). A brief personal statement describing your background, your educational and career aspirations, your research interests, and your motivation for applying to QPAQT. 
2. Fillable PDF form. Please download this 1-page form, fill it out, and attach as a PDF. 

Please use "QPAQT application [your name]" as the subject line.

Note: if you were recently admitted to a UNM PhD program but missed the March application deadline, you may still apply to QPAQT. Follow these instructions and we will review your application by November.
